How to Measure Your Ring Size

Method 1 – Measure your finger

  1. Wrap a narrow strip of paper or a piece of string around the base of your finger.

  2. Mark where the ends meet.

  3. Measure the length in millimetres.

  4. Compare the measurement with the finger circumference column in the chart above.

Method 2 – Measure a ring you already own

  1. Choose a ring that fits comfortably on the intended finger.

  2. Measure its inner diameter in millimetres, from one inside edge to the opposite inside edge.

  3. Compare the measurement with the inner diameter column.

Helpful Tips

  • Measure your finger at the end of the day, when fingers are usually slightly larger.

  • Avoid measuring when your hands are very cold or very hot.

  • Measure more than once to help ensure accuracy.

  • If your measurement falls between two sizes, we generally recommend choosing the larger size.

  • Wider rings may require a slightly larger size for a comfortable fit.
